The compliance platform for
UK inshore commercial diving SMEs.
Built by an IRCA Registered Principal Auditor. DWR 1997, HSE L103/L104, IMCA D018/D023/D040 — managed in one place, ready for audit.
PICMS is an independent platform — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by IMCA, HSE, or any accreditation body. References to standards and publications are by identifier only; operators must hold legally obtained copies for the controlled criteria. Read more.
Diving compliance is too important to run on spreadsheets and email threads.
We've spoken to dozens of UK inshore diving contractors. Three patterns come up every time.
Spreadsheets break under audit pressure
Plant registers in one Excel file. Cert expiries in another. Diver medicals in a folder somewhere. Dive logs across email attachments and a paper book. When the HSE inspector or your accreditation auditor asks for evidence, you're hunting through three locations and praying nothing's expired.
Generic compliance SaaS doesn't know diving
Vanta, Drata and ISMS.online cover ISO 27001 evidence well. None of them know what an IMCA D018 reference area is, or that the Diving at Work Regulations 1997 require a 2-year retention on every dive log. You'd spend the first three months teaching the platform your business.
Hiring a consultant costs £15k+ per project
A diving compliance consultant for a single contract is £15,000-£40,000 by the time you've paid for the audit prep, the RAMS, the closeout pack and the follow-up actions. PICMS runs all of that in-house for £199-£449 per month, and you keep the institutional knowledge.
Two tiers. Both designed for UK SME commercial diving operators.
Start with Essentials to replace the spreadsheets. Upgrade to Professional when you need projects, AI RAMS and the closeout evidence pack. 14-day free trial — no card required.

An auditor-built platform behaves differently when an inspector arrives.
Built by someone who's stood across the desk from your auditor.
PICMS is designed by an IRCA Registered Principal Auditor with first-hand UK certification experience across ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001. That experience shapes every module — what evidence the inspector actually asks for, what cadence cert renewals need to fall on, what a closeout pack must contain to satisfy both HSE and IMCA-aligned audit panels.
For diving specifically, that translates into: cert tracker cadences aligned with the reference areas in IMCA D018; a logbook designed around DWR 1997's 2-year retention; competent-person categorisations that match what the IMCA D018 reference areas describe; and a closeout pack export that bundles plant cert status, dive logs, RAMS, competent persons and diver medicals into a single audit-ready ZIP. No bolt-on, no integration project, no third-party consultant.
If you've spent £15k or more on a single dive contract paying for compliance prep, this is the alternative. Read more about the founder →
Frequently asked questions
Is PICMS affiliated with IMCA?
No. PICMS is an independent compliance platform — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by IMCA. References to IMCA D018, D023 and D040 are by identifier only; we describe our workflows as aligned with the reference areas in those publications. Operators must hold their own legally obtained copies of any IMCA document for the controlled criteria.
Do I need to hold my own copies of L103, L104 and the IMCA documents?
Yes. Operators must hold legally obtained copies of HSE ACoPs L103 and L104 and any IMCA D-series documents referenced in their compliance scope. PICMS provides workflow surfaces aligned with the reference areas in those publications; it does not reproduce the controlled text.
Can I export evidence for an HSE inspection?
Yes — Diving Professional includes a closeout evidence pack export. One-click ZIP bundles plant cert status, dive operations logbook, competent persons register, diver medicals, RAMS, and PMS history for a given project. Designed for HSE inspectors and IMCA audit panels who want a single download instead of a folder hunt.
What if I'm offshore (L103) not inshore (L104)?
Both supported on Diving Professional. The platform doesn't lock you into one regime — the regulatory templates, dive logbook fields, and competent-person categorisations cover inshore (HSE ACoP L104) and offshore (HSE ACoP L103) operations side-by-side. Diving Essentials covers L104 inshore registers; Professional adds the project workspace and full L103 / L104 evidence surface.
How long does setup take?
Typical onboarding is 2-4 weeks. Day 1 you get the diving registers, certification tracker, dive logbook, competent-persons register and diver medicals pre-loaded with UK templates. Weeks 2-4 are spent migrating your historical plant cert + dive log data and configuring user roles. You can start a 14-day free trial today with no credit card.
